Oh well, Easter could not have been better. Two wins, seven goals (even without super striker Damian Lee). The way in which the victories were achieved was very satisfying as well. Let's hope we can have a good run in and finish as high as possible. I had to chuckle to myself at Farsley. I cannot imagine what the crowd would have been if the Avenue mob had stayed away! During the second half (in the 'shed' end) we were joined by Sharpe's army (well, a few of his mates) who are always up for a sing song. Even Ronnie attempt a few tuneful mutterings (met with a huge cheer - or was it laughter) and it certainly gees the team up.

In the past most fan's have uttered their greivances about Trevor Storton's team selection and tactics (I hold my hands up!) but overall I think he has done a good job. His recent signings, MAXWELL, LEE and JONES have proved to be excellent ones (I will try to get some info on Damian Lee's former life at City) and Chris Brandon has been superb in the second half of the season. I think a lot of our recent success has to point to the return of Freeman and Sharpe. I do realise that Bobby Barr (stop swearing) did his best as Trevors assistant, but frankly he was not up to the job, especially as a player. Anyway, I do wish the carrot - topped one success where ever he ends up.

Fans seemed to be split in opinion over our recent goalkeeper Atkinson. Some thought he was O.K. - others did not. Personally I think he was a flapper and I'm glad he's gone. What's the point of having an International goalkeeper at your disposal (Derek O'Connor) and loaning him out to some tinpot Unibond Premier outfit like Frickley, just to get him fit after injury? He could have got fit playing for the Avenue. That is of course unless Trevor Storton thinks our defence is so good he would take forever to get match fit!

Seen at Farsley : Damian Lee walking round the ground eating Farsley Pie & Peas. Is he on some sort of wonder diet? I wonder........... I wonder how he had the guts to eat them. They looked yuk!

I just recieved this e-mail and had to put it in!

After our Easter Monday holiday victory at Farsley, Trevor Storton and Celtic
manager Martin Haresign were being interviewed by the Radio Leeds reporter:

Radio Leeds: "Well, Martin, a bad result today. What are your aims for the rest of the season."

Haresign: "Right now our goal is simply to avoid relegation from the UniBond League."

Radio Leeds: "And you Trevor. What do you expect from your Bradford Park Avenue side over the next few months"

Storton: "We'll be aiming to win the County Cup, gain promotion to the UniBond League Premier Division and Football Conference in two seasons, win the F.A. Trophy next season and reach the semi-finals F.A. Cup so guaranteeing us a place
in Europe in September 2000."

Radio Leeds: "I'm sorry Trevor but that does sound rather far-fetched"

Storton (pointing at Haresign): "Well he started it!"
